Almighty is frankly a huge game. It took some time to get it running at a solid 30FPS on 8 year old hardware like the PS4. I spent most of my days profiling the game and applying optimization techniques on both the cpu and gpu side of the equation.
This included implementing mesh simplifications, material atlasing, streaming, script optimizations, object pooling, physics optimizations, update staggering, improving memory management, and so much more.
About This Project
This game is owned and created by RUNWILD Entertainment. I was brought onto the project in order to get the game ready for multi-platform release for the following consoles
- Xbox 1 and Series X
- Playstation 4 and 5
- Google Stadia
Almighty is a cross-platform multiplayer game built in Unity Engine. Frankly, it’s a huge game and I was the sole developer in charge of the optimization and porting aspect of the game.
